  1. Whatever happened to the girl in the "Face of PAL" contest? The woman in the advertisement looks nothing like her...

    1. Is it the 747 or 777? Cause I've tried both and if I'm not mistaken it's the 747 that's not full flat.

  3. Both only reclines up to 165 degrees. PAL website is misleading as well.... pasted below. How can you call something full flat with a 15 dgree angle recline? lol

The Business class cabin of the B777-300ER is equipped with individual “goose neck” reading lights, laptop charging port and USB port for passengers to listen to their personal mp3 collection or view photos and PDF files. The new seat is adjustable to a variety of positions at the option of the passenger, including a full flat recline with a 15 degree angle (Chaiselongue position). It is outfitted with a 15.4in seatback mounted and 10.6in in-arm touch-screen personal television.

    2. I was just trying to point out the misleading statement in their ad / website and now you call that negative feedback? Shouldn't it be a corrective feedback??

    3. It says, Full Flat.. Did it say anything about what kind of degree it is? I cant believe people like you complains about a small detail. I dont see anything on the advertisement above saying what degree is the full flat seats..

    4. Full flat is different from angled. It doesn't say on the ad but from their statements, they do say full flat. And mind you, small details wreck the big things in business- specifically Marketing.

    5. Btw, it says full flat on business. The picture shows that it is not.

  4. Exactly, these small details count and in other countries this is already punishable by law for false advertising. As a consumer how would you feel if you were made to believe that it is a full flat but it turns out it wasn't as advertised?

Also, for someone who travels extensively for work/leisure, I have come to know by heart the product offerings of major airlines including PAL and they are not full flat. For the normal Juan, the difference might not be noticeable but for the frequent fliers, it is like heaven and earth. Just my two cents.

  5. There really is no flat bed in the sky because every aircraft, Boeing and Airbus alike, fly in an angled position at cruising speed. That is the reason why beds are angled to compensate the difference while on air, i.e, to make it flat. If it were truly flat on the ground, the passenger would end up having to contend head over heels.

    1. Kindly take a look at the first class suit of SQ. Watch it on YouTube rather than their site since in YouTube you will see the real deal. Their flat beds are really flat, not angled. Plus, when PAL offered skybeds back then, it was full flat and not angled.

    2. What PAL is basically trying to say is that their flat veds are flat when on air because if the abgle of the plane. Although when on ground, they are tilted.

    3. No. If it's flat on ground, it's still flat on air. Going on air won't make one bed angled more since gravity is still present. Again, look at SQ's suites in YouTube.
