Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has confirmed that it will link Tokyo, Hong Kong and Bangkok to its Davao airport hub soon as part of the airline expansion program.
The route which will be flown by Airbus A321-200 aircraft is already pending for regulatory approvals and likely approved within the year.
The airline operates flights to Zamboanga, Tagbilaran, and Siargao from its Davao hub, while it dropped Cagayan de Oro route very recently due to poor passenger sales.

Hoping that there Davao International Airport will soon to have install taxiway parallel to its runway to fulfill its international expansion.

ReplyDeleteNRT is more likely then HND, PR already operates CEB-NRT twice daily.
DeleteAlso HND is slot-restricted at the moment and all allocated PHL-HND flights are already with PAL and ANA. Also no more available slots in the short-term due to lack of space in HND, so NRT is most likely.

ReplyDeletePhilippine Airlines at the launch of winter 2018/19 timetable plans to adjust New York JFK service. Effective 28OCT18, the airline will operate 4 weekly Manila – New York JFK service on nonstop basis in both direction, replacing 1-stop flight via Vancouver. Boeing 777-300ER will operate this route, up to 15.5 hours of block time.

773? I thought their 777s can't fly non-stop to JFK, which is why they needed the A350s?
DeleteOf course they can. But not with 370 passengers. In the airline business they call it seat blocking to around 100 pax less depending on cargo loads.
