I guess the picture that used to be in this post is not the plane PAL will get. The old picture did look like a -500 of -600

ReplyDeleteThe plane that will be RP-C3435, is in fact, an A340-300. They're testing the plane by putting it in service in domestic and regional flights before deploying them to US flights in July.
ReplyDeleteJust today, I saw the plane - grey/white scheme with no tail livery - climb out of RPMR/GES, operating as PR454 to Manila. It's been a week since delivery.
Airline routes reports that Philippine Airlines will change operational aircraft on Manila – Melbourne route from 09 JUL 13 replacing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with ex-Iberian A340-300. The configuration is C36Y218,on the same 3 weekly service.
