After being held up in Cebu for two days, the Belgian First Aid & Support Team (B-FAST) arrives in Tacloban yesterday without their Airbus A330-300 (096,CS-TMT) hospital aircraft that was forced to park at Mactan Airbase due to runway restrictions at Tacloban Airport.
The rapid intervention team will deploy a fully equipped field hospital with 35 experienced doctors and nurses offering medical services and medicines to the victims of the typhoons. They are now setting a water purification station.
