Relief Aids from Germany and Spain arrived in Manila and in the port City of Cebu and carried nonfood relief items: 500
tents, 1,000 tarpaulin, 1,000 hygiene kits, 500 family tents, an
assortment of shelter tool kits, jerrycans (water receptacles) and
mosquito nets worth a total of P57 million from the German government, while The Spanish Agency of Cooperation and Development has
provided 6,000 jerrycans, 3,000 mosquito nets, 11,000 pieces of
tarpaulin, two communications kits (satellites phones and radio sets)
and seven water-treatment plants. A separate Airbus A340-600 Lufthansa plane landed at Manila Airport Wednesday loaded with relief and medical supplies.
