Philippine Airlines has secured its preferred slot at Frankfurt-Mien Airport and will be the airlines second destination in Europe after reintroducing London in 4 November. PAL President Ramon S. Ang said that Germany possesses the second biggest number of foreign tourists arrivals in the country (see our report here) next to the United Kingdom and would like to capitalize on that strength as well as connect PAL network to the rest of mainland Europe. “Based on our study, we will first mount flight to Frankfurt. Because after you land in that city, you can go anywhere in Europe by train, which is much cheaper and preferred by Filipinos,” Ang said at the sidelines of the company’s London inaugural ceremony at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) yesterday. The airline will fly to six European destinations in 2014. |
I can't wait for more European routes of Philippine Airlines.
