PAL Upgrades Hawaii For A330 Service

Philippine Airlines will expand daily services to Honolulu beginning December 11, 2014 by upgrading equipment and improving product and services with its new long range A330-343X plane (RP-C8771) which arrived from Airbus last week. The route is currently served by A340-300 aircraft.

  3. This is hardly an upgrade, especially in economy class. While the A340 is older, at least the configuration is 2-4-2, in line with legacy carriers. The new A330s of PAL have been outfitted LCC-style with 3-3-3 seating & less pitch.

    2. And yet the people over at Philippine Flight Network still praise him as PAL's savior. Tan may have made stupid decisions but he still knows how to run an airline better than Ang. Ang should have probably just launched an LCC or something.

    3. Jaime Bautista should refurbish PAL's new Airbus A330-300s and make premium economy and standard economy into 7-abreast and 8-abreast, respectively.
