  1. 12 to 18 months to complete the detailed engineering design? Do they at least have some kind of basic design for the project? They should have some kind of idea of what they'll be doing. Also, does this mean that groundbreaking will be delayed?

    1. The basic design is posted above. Detailed engineering will follow that design. Not the mega airport dream circulated by Cavite. That is false advertising.

  2. This is odd. Sangley will compete with Bulacan airport. There should be a proper city planning on how the international gateway of manila will be like. It will confuse passengers on which airport they will use

    1. This airport was never approved as a four runway airport. Just one. Everything else is false advertising.

    2. Obviously, LT and RSA PAL-fiasco is not yet over. Nothing has been forgiven nor forgotten. LT refuses to be at the mercy of RSA's Bulacan ops and fees.

  3. Duterte said no reclamation until a study is done. So where are they going to get the land. Or are they going to wait until he leaves office in June 2022.

    1. False advertising indeed. Most likely waiting for the next president.

    2. Du30 does not matter anymore. He only has 2 years left - if he follows the Constitution that is. Even the Americans will just wait it out re: VFA. Besides, 2 years is too short to complete the other phases of the Sangley project that involve reclamation.

  4. If the four-runway airport is false advertising, what about the Phase 1 that was seen in the official Sangley airport video? That one looks different from the image above. Though it has only one runway, it's larger, and it's built on reclaimed land. The terminal also looks different. Is that also false advertising? Is the image above more accurate?

    1. There is no official sangley airport video. What was shown is the presentation video. Take that from DOTR Asec. Giovanni Lopez. Don't confuse both. For the uninitiated, the airport as presented cannot be build without closing NAIA because of approach issues. One has to closed. Even with a single runway as claimed by Jim Sydiongco. He just happen to head CAAP so he knows what he is talking about. If you are still not convinced, just hear again the plea of Gov. Remulla to close NAIA at the inauguration ceremony. Also take into consideration what Sec. Tugade is talking about. The naval and air forces. You should hear it. If you still doesn't have a clue, the owner of Sangley is still DOTR and AFP. Cavite Gov't is just the OPERATOR. Macro Asia is the partner of the operator. Also, don't confuse both. By the way, phase 1 can actually be seen at the DOTR website and it looks similar to the picture above. Perhaps you did not bother to look it up there.
