PAL Cancels Planned B757 Service To Australia

Philippine Airlines has cancelled plan Australian expansion to Perth and Brisbane slated to start operations in November after the airline cancelled the lease contract for five B757 aircraft meant for the Australian market. The cancellation was made two days after the Lucio Tan Group bought back the flag carrier from San Miguel Corporation. Existing flights to Darwin and Brisbane remains unaffected and will be upgraded to A321 service starting December 8, 2014. Meanwhile, Melbourne expansion plans is expected to be announce soon.

  1. How can a service be cancelled that was never formally announced or even loaded into GDS systems? Once again, this blog is caught publishing gossip, rather than official information released by the airline.

  2. We posted London months before they went online on GDS. We posted New York several months before they were loaded to GDS. We posted Dammam and Riyadh for 5J days before they were loaded to GDS. Even news reporter visit this blog. You could always find reliable sources elsewhere. But wait, you're here.
