The Philippines and Hong Kong signed a new Air Service Agreement (ASA) supplanting the 2008 bilaterals that would pave the way for increase in air traffic
services to Hongkong. The new air pact allows 30,000 seats per week from the current
capacity of 15,000. All restrictions to other international airports in the Philippines was also lifted allowing any Hong Kong based airline to fly unlimited flights except NAIA.
