PAL Goes Saipan

Begins Flight Summer Next Year

11 December 2015

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines will re-start its service to Saipan in the Northern Marianas in July next year, says its President at the Makati City Hotel Wednesday.

PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Jaime J. Bautista said their new short haul international destination will be Saipan after offering thrice-weekly flight services to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea beginning December 18.

The airline recently expanded to Cairns and Auckland last week.

The twice weekly services will be flown by a bi-class 156 seater Airbus A320-200 operated by low cost affiliate PAL Express.

It will be the second international destination of the low cost carrier after Dubai. PAL Express flies Philippine Airline's most domestic points across the country, other than Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Kalibo, Puerto Princesa, Bacolod, Iloilo, and Tagbilaran.

  1. wouldn't it be their only international flight now since PAL has taken over their DXB operations?
