  1. I hope PAL will be able to score a good deal from Airbus considering their financial liniency vs Boeing's . A359's or -1000's are suitable to PAL's long haul destinations n replacements of their current aircrafts which will aged soon in time of their deliveries

  2. I think Airbus owes them given they probably brokered the deal to lease PAL those old A340s!

    1. I agree. Also, at the same time, they should convert some their excessive A321 orders for the A350.

  3. PR should learn from their sad experience from the past on their AB deals .. Fool me once shame on them .. fool me twice shame on me

  4. I just saw a photo of an event that was held a few hours ago by cebu pacific. Interestingly, they were handed an A350 with Cebu Pacific's livery. Hmmm, did they just ordered A350's?

    1. CebPac is more interested with the A330-neo than the A350's.... But if they are mulling servicing North America, they should be looking into this plane

  5. PAL should be choosing only one variant between A350-900 and 1000 as the later has more modifications in wing span and engine and maintain one variant would be operationally efficient. This is one of the reasons why Emirates dropped their order because of the variance operating these 2 versions as they were pushing commonality especially in the engines between the two.

IMO, A350-1000 would be a good candidate given that:
    - It has the extra range
    - Natural replacement for A343
    - Improvements vs B773-ER economics, a future replacement.

Seeing the expansion plan for PAL being modest, the availability for these plane would be suitable for them and the deliveries could be spread out for the replacement of their current long-haul fleet.
