Why Seattle?

It's Where Traffic is Bigger than Chicago

  1. Seattle is a great place to visit and a good gateway. However, PAL needs gateways in the US Midwest (Chicago) and East Coast (New York). Even as a Premier Elite member for many years, I fly ANA or CX to the Midwest/East USA; its so much faster. PAL needs those A350-900XWB asap!

    1. Most likely their next gateway is Chicago via Vancouver when A350 takes direct flight to JFK. Meanwhile, Seattle is addressed by adding YVR frequency on their winter schedule.

    1. There was a proposal before to fly it via HNL on A330. We don't know if it fizzles out or are still on the table. And considering the latest flight statistics, most unlikely. Las Vegas has more chance of being re-opened.

  3. Philippine Airlines should fly to Seattle. Also, Delta Airlines should re-route their Manila services from Detroit-Narita-Manila to Seattle-Narita-Manila or non-stop.

  5. Delta is still studying LAX-MNL direct, and yes I also believe that Delta should begin services from SEA-MNL if not via TPE maybe. There's already Delta flights SEA-NRT, and PDX-NRT. It would great to see SEA-MNL or LAX-MNL direct. Makes more sense for SEA-MNL if they intend to dismantle NRT hub as they have announced and begun to do so already in favor or direct flights to HND. I wonder how would PAL respond or how competitive PAL remain as they have monopoly over LAX-MNL. I think DL can respond competitively and drive down the cost of airfare. ~Sonnyville
